"Thank you for the great advice.  I was wondering about the road conditions during winter break.  My daughter is a freshman and last weekend was her first experience driving curvy roads. So needless to say, more practice is needed.…"

"I’d like to add that those roads to and from Arcata to Sacramento are really fun to drive. (I prefer 101, 20, 5. I’m not a fan of 299). Anyway, I’ve been driving these roads since I was 16. That being said, remind your student to…"

"I can’t believe my daughter is starting her senior year. It was just a few years ago we sent her off to live in the dorms. It has been an interesting adventure for her. She made some good friends in the dorms, but it was really by going out…"

Emergency Texts

With all the wildfires and news of more high winds and bad humidity, I would hope everyone's children are signed up for the emergency text  program. I have discussed with our grandson that because he has a car, he still has to let the school know if he decides to leave in case of emergency so that they can account for him. It's a great way to alert everyone to what's going on around them.
